I finished The High King. I had forgotten the fate of Fflewddur's harp. It was kinda shocking since I was reading for the harp scenes. And lots of crying, but that's to be expected. (The author forewards are a lot more precious-sounding than they were when I was a kid.)
I also read a couple of chapters in Lynda Van Devanter's Home Before Morning. A tour de force, nearly as chilling as Scarborough's The Healer's War, but then again more chilling as it is memoir.
